Game & trainer settings
What is this?
How the Forms Trainer, Vocabulary Trainer, Sensus and Sentence Quiz behave for you — and how to reset individual learning paths. Most switches are in Settings → Learning Mode → “How you learn”; text corpus and tenses under “Sentence Quiz/Vocabulary Settings”; resetting under “Account & Cloud & Telemetry”. Nothing costs you progress unless you reset on purpose.
How you learn
- Unlock words one at a time: Each declension starts with a single word. Once it sticks, the next one joins — instead of a long list right away.
- Forms Trainer – only active forms as answer options: In classic mode, the answer options only include the tenses, moods and voices you selected in the Forms Trainer.
- Link Sensus to Sentence Quiz levels: Sensus only shows sentences up to your current Sentence Quiz level (plus 3 levels of buffer).
- Vocabulary Trainer – transcription: Latin only: In copy mode you only type the Latin form, without the reverse direction.
- Vocabulary Trainer – game modes (Balloon Hunt, Tetris, Snake, Circus Maximus and Vorax): Switch each game on or off. Switched-off games drop out of practice, the rest carry on. Your boxes stay untouched: you lose nothing.
Sentence Quiz
- Text corpus: Classical Latin is always on. You can add theological Latin (Vulgate, Augustine, Tertullian, Anselm, Luther).
- Tenses: Choose which tenses appear in the sentences. The present always stays on. Several tenses are mixed evenly.
In a class your teacher can fix these settings — then the switches are locked for you.
Reset learning path
You can reset individual areas to zero. Every reset is confirmed twice and cannot be undone.
- Sentence Quiz progress: Deletes all Sentence Quiz box levels.
- Sensus progress: Deletes all box levels of the meaning cards.
- Reading cache: Deletes no progress, only the reading sentences stored on the device. Refresh after an update to load the newest sentences.
- Vocabulary Trainer progress: Deletes all collected words and progress — in the cloud too, so nothing syncs back.
Resetting progress is a full-version feature. The reading cache can always be refreshed.
