How Lapicida works — the app in detail

Lapicida is more than a vocabulary app. Here you’ll find every part of it in detail — what to expect, what you can adjust, and what you’ll actually learn. Pick whatever you need right now.
New in version 1.6.5
What the latest update adds. Every detail is in the changelog.
- Read-aloud with highlighting — when a sentence is read aloud, the word you are hearing and its sentence part light up: in the sentence quiz, in Reading, in Sensus and in Unda.
- The story continues — 27 new reading texts for the fourth year, every sentence voiced.
- Unda with all authors — with a licence, also with Cicero, Caesar, Livy, the Vulgate and many more.
- Vocabulary Trainer — the new game Vorax, “Learn” on every list, and you can delete your own lists.
- Practice that follows what you know — forms, sentences and texts follow what you can already do, on our own path, the Meridian.
- Optional notifications — a short note each morning about yesterday’s practice, plus news. Turn them on under Settings → Notifications.
- On the Mac, too — Lapicida now also runs on the Mac (Apple Silicon).
Where to start
Where you begin — and where you see how far you have come.

Putting it to use

- Turbo — a cross-module full-screen speed mode to keep things fresh.
Together
- Learn together — four co-op modes for the whole class, without streak pressure.
Settings
- Settings — audio, dyslexia support, cloud sync and more: everything you can adjust.
