What is this?
Tap the menu (☰) to open the sidebar with five quick toggles — the settings you reach for most often, without the detour through the full settings page. Each toggle takes effect immediately and is remembered on this device.
The toggles
- 🎵 Auto-play (licence only): Plays the Latin pronunciation automatically after every answer. Without a licence the toggle is locked — you can still hear the pronunciation any time using the ♪ button.
- 🔬 Word analysis: Shows the building blocks of every word — stem and ending. That way you see through a form instead of guessing it. Handy when you’re unsure how to parse a form and want to see what gives it away.
- 🧩 Active forms only: In the forms trainer, only the tenses, moods and voices you’ve selected appear as answer options. Useful for drilling one area on purpose, without being distracted by forms you haven’t covered yet.
- 🔤 Dyslexia font: Switches on the OpenDyslexic typeface — specially shaped letters with wider spacing. For anyone who mixes up letters more easily.
- 🌙 Dark mode: Dark interface, light text. Easier on the eyes in low light.
Tip
The quick toggles are a selection of the most important options. Every other setting — language, audio, learning mode, game modes, resetting — lives in the menu under ⚙️ Settings.
For dyslexia
The dyslexia font and word analysis together take a lot of the pressure out of reading: the letters are easier to tell apart, and every form shows its building blocks openly. If you also learn by ear, leave auto-play on.
