What is this?
Here you set how the trainers behave for you — forms trainer, vocabulary trainer, Sensus and sentence quiz — and you can reset individual learning paths on purpose. Most toggles take effect immediately. Nothing here costs you vocabulary progress unless you deliberately reset it.
These settings
- Forms trainer – active forms only as answer options: In classic mode, only the tenses, moods and voices you’ve selected in the forms trainer appear as answer options. Less noise, more focused practice.
- Vocabulary trainer – game modes (Balloon Hunt, Tetris, Snake, Circus Maximus): Switch each arcade mode on or off individually. Modes you switch off drop out of vocabulary practice; the rest carry on as normal. Your vocabulary progress — the boxes — stays untouched: you lose nothing.
- Vocabulary trainer – typing: Latin only: In copy mode you only type out the Latin form, without the English→Latin variant.
- Link Sensus to sentence-quiz level (full version): Sensus only shows sentences up to your current sentence-quiz level (plus a 3-level buffer). That way you practise word meanings only in constructions you’ve already mastered.
- Text corpus (sentence quiz): Classical Latin is always active. On top of that you can unlock theological Latin (Vulgate, Augustine, Tertullian, Anselm, Luther) in the sentence quiz.
- Tenses (sentence quiz): Choose which tenses appear in the sentences. Present stays active at all times (fallback). Several tenses are mixed evenly.
Note: As an individual learner you set the text corpus and tenses yourself. In a class, your teacher sets these.
Reset a learning path
You can set individual areas back to zero. Every reset is confirmed twice and cannot be undone.
- Sentence-quiz progress: Deletes all box states of the sentence quiz — your entire syntax progress.
- Sensus progress: Deletes all box states of the meaning cards (word, sense).
- Reading cache: Deletes no progress, only the reading sentences cached locally for 7 days. After a server update, refresh here to load the latest sentences.
- Vocabulary-trainer progress: Deletes all collected vocabulary and learning states — including in the cloud, so nothing syncs back.
Resetting progress is a full-version feature. The reading cache can always be refreshed.
Tip
Switching game modes off is harmless — feel free to try out which ones suit you; your vocabulary boxes are preserved. Resetting, by contrast, is final, which is why it asks twice.
